Female Painters Inspired Tea: Garden Party

The second tea from my female painter inspired tea series! Garden party is an elegant green tea blend with soft floral aroma and mild fruity sweetness. It is inspired by the soft, carefree smile and posture under the blue sky in the Self Portrait in a Straw Hat (1782) by Elizabeth Louise Vigee Le Brun. She was a prominent French portrait artist sought after by many high profile and aristocratic clients, the most famous of which was Marie Antoinette. Combining rococo and neoclassical style, she paints with grace and elegance, and a certain tenderness and playfulness. As a female painter during a time when such profession was frowned upon for women, she also was the first to paint (self) portraits of smiles with an open mouth, which was against the portrait tradition at the time. 

Each bag comes with 24g of loose tea, enough for about 8 cups. Tea in tea bags or different sizes available upon request.

Local delivery is available for purchases $30 and above for Halifax Peninsula and Dartmouth area.
