Crochet & Sip (Tea) for Pride!🌈

Celebrate pride by learning to crochet your own pride coaster this year!

Have you always wanted to learn to crochet? While sipping on unlimited special tea blends? Come join our Crochet & Sip (Tea), where you can learn to crochet your own pride coaster and sip on hot & iced tea with like-minded people in a cozy, intimate environment! This workshop will take place in the beautiful Local Council of Women's George Wright House, who was a well known local philanthropist rumoured to be a part of the community!

Our Crochet & Sip (Tea) is beginner friendly and all supplies are included. Just bring yourself and come prepared for a fun evening of crochet and tea! Learn all the crochet basics and the steps to making your first crochet coaster from Karen (Karenina Crochet) while following written instructions, and a tea bar provided by Helen's Little Herbal Shop with snacks will be available throughout the night for all you can tea! Limited to 10 participants, get your ticket now to reserve your spot!

In this workshop you will learn:

-Chain stitch

-Single crochet

-Row change

-Slip stitch

-Colour change

-Edging with reverse single crochet

• Choose the pride flag/colourway you want. If you don't see your flag please choose the Other option and message us the flag you want to do.
• Spanish and Chinese Mandarin instructions available; please leave a comment or email us ahead of time if it's needed.
• An unlimited tea bar with hot/iced tea, and snacks will be provided, where there will also be seats for extra seating and socializing, or those needing some space etc.
• The George Wright/Local Council of Women House is fully accessible with a ramp leading into the house and an accessible bathroom! There is also plenty of street parking around as well as a parking lot a block away from the house. 
• Our events have a zero tolerance policy for intolerance or any -isms.
• We may capture photos, videos, and audio recordings during the event for promotional purposes to be used in various media formats without restriction. If you prefer not to be photographed or recorded, please inform Helen or Karen upon arrival.
